Catalan and Spanish Freelance translator, software localizer, proof-reader.

Participated in translation projects for Microsoft (Windows 11, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, Office XP, .NET, CRM, Windows Media Player, TechNet, Webcasts, Newsletters, Exchange Server), Google, Xiaomi, BYD, Huawei/Honor, Sony, Vueling, Iberia, BBVA, HP, Xerox, Novell, Oracle, McAfee, Trend Micro, Creative, Nokia, Alcatel, Sony Ericsson, Motorola, Samsung, Sony, Panasonic, Canon, Hitachi, JVC, Philips, Toshiba, Fujitsu, Ricoh, Marantz, Yamaha, Kodak, Olympus, Komori, Makita, Nissan, among many others.

Functional and Linguistic tester of the Catalan version of the IBM AIX Operating IBM lab in Austin (TX, USA).

Responsible for translation and localization projects for Multi-lingual vendors (MLVs).

1998 – 2000

Localization Project Manager at Management System Solutions (MSS), Barcelona, Spain. Tasks included:

 

  • Responsible for the planning, supervision, outsourcing as well as terminology coordination of large projects for IBM.
  • Translation project lead for different MLVs, such as Lionbridge Corporation, Translate, IC Boulder, Multiling.
  • Functional and linguistic tester at the IBM premises in Austin, TX, for the Catalan version of three different releases of the AIX operating system.

1994 – 1998

Software Localizer, Technical Translator and Language Lead at Management System Solutions (MSS), Barcelona, Spain. Tasks included:

  • Translation of Graphic User Interfaces, printed/online documentation, help files, Web pages, marketing materials and graphics.
  • Translator and coordinator of all the releases of the IBM AIX Operating System.
  • Performed 6 product verification tests at the IBM labs in Raleigh, Austin and Bethesda (USA).

Spanish and Catalan terminology coordinator.

1993 – 1994

Spanish and Catalan technical translator at FIHOCA FORMACIÓ S.L., Barcelona, Spain.

  • Translator, reviewer and editor of IBM software and hardware documentation books.
  • Creation of terminological databases and English, Spanish and Catalan glossaries.
